Replace outdated Metal Halide lighting to reduce maintenance costs and provide better lumen output
Project Objectives
The University of Sydney Conservatorium of Music is a heritage site that blends modern construction with high sweeping atrium ceilings. The main objective was to lower lighting maintenance costs as the existing lighting consisted of obsolete 150W Metal Halide Downlights. To complicate the design the distance from floor to ceiling was 10 metres which required exceptional light output from unintrusive retrofit downlights.
Project Outcomes
The client decided to replace all the outdated metal halide downlights and replace with the high output Bach 5s downlight from CDN. The CDN Bach 5s provided higher lumen output with a lower wattage which is a saves energy and maintenance costs while providing excellent lumen output.
