Guy Pieters started his career over 30 years ago in Knokke, a Belgian seaside resort, where he now owns two galleries in addition to those in Saint-Martens-Latem, Saint-Paul de Vence and Paris. Recently he opened a new gallery in Knokke to house fascinating solo exhibitions as well as showing established works of art. According to Guy Pieters the work of a gallery owner has over the years, been completely transformed. Consequently the gallery’s dynamism also shows through the organisation of exhibitions outside its walls, and through the collaboration with museums and cultural institutions in the region.
Delta Light has created a lighting scheme for the new Knokke gallery centred around the iconic new Superdome fittings released at Light+Build 2014, creating zones throughout the space with their volume, framing individual pieces and orientating the visitor through the gallery. Directional Grid in HP LED down lights provide accent illumination of individual works.

The creation of the ‘Flanders Fields 1914-2014’ Memorial Garden is an initiative of The Guards Museum in conjunction with Flanders House in London, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain.
The garden, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the start of the Great War, is located at Wellington Barracks alongside the Guards Chapel which is adjacent to Buckingham Palace. The ‘Flanders Fields 1914-2014’ Memorial Garden has been designed by internationally acclaimed landscape architect Piet Blanckaert, from Bruges, Belgium.
Every aspect has been carefully considered so that it becomes a very special memorial to all those who lost their lives or were injured in the battlefields of Flanders. The Memorial Garden opening ceremony has taken place on Thursday 6th November 2014, attended by members of the Royal Families of both Belgium and Great Britain.
Logic Wallwasher LED in-ground luminaires wash a low wall with the 9 regiment plaques in stone and a pole mounted flood light is gracing the circular bed in the middle of the garden, containing soil from the battlefield.
The crowns of leaves of some young trees have been softly lit from below using Logic R in-ground LED luminaires and is designed to appear striking in the winter when the branches are bare.

Platek’s Full-Dry system is used in recessed products and consists of a resin coating of the cable entry area, preventing condensation inside the luminaire. The area where the external and internal cables are connected is embedded in resin to prevent the ingress of moisture, even under critical conditions, e.g. when the light cools down after being switched off. This is why Platek appliances come with their own power cables to prevent error during installation.
The full-dry system guarantees:

- prevention of the formation of condensation inside the glass when the appliance is switched off
